Following the brutal attacks by Zionist forces on Lebanon, many Lebanese civilians were displaced or lost loved ones, particularly in southern regions and the Dahieh district of Beirut, facing severe shortages in food and healthcare. International organizations remained silent out of fear of American and Zionist pressure. In this critical moment, Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei issued a religious decree urging Iranians to aid their Lebanese brothers. Iranians responded remarkably, donating cash and gold amounting to the monthly salaries of 250,000 workers—remarkable, especially given Iran’s own economic hardships and that many donors themselves were financially constrained.
These contributions were swiftly sent to Lebanon, marking a powerful resonance of solidarity with Lebanese and Palestinian communities. It also underscored the Iranian public’s rejection of Zionist and U.S. policies—despite heavy international media blackouts
